Five Minute Friday
Prompt Word: Forget
I hope I never forget the first time you spoke.
I hope I never forget your first step.
I pray the sound of your voice spoken while you are still a boy will never escape me.
Nor the vision of your chubby cheeks and cherubic curls which distinguished you among the other baby boys.
I hope I never forget the way your golden curls caught the sun and held on to it.
Or the way your laughter was contagious. No one could resist its joyful power.
I pray I never will forget the way you looked to me for guidance and direction nor regret the choices that I made.
I hope you will never forget that you changed my life forever and for better.
I hope you will never forget that you are an answered prayer. Heaven sent – dimples and all.
I pray that you will always know how very much I love you.
And that you will never forget, you make your Momma so happy!
I will never forget that through you, I am so blessed!

It’s been frustrating at times. I’ve been lying in the dark, not sleepy, but unable to focus my blurred vision or stop the pounding ache in my temples. I’ve had to set down the book I was reading for my kids mid-chapter, and close my computer before clicking “send” on that important e-mail.
