Homeschool Fun – April Field Trips

End of the Year – Home School Field Trips

As the end of the year rapidly approaches, T and I are planning to make the very most of it. Now that the weather has warmed, we are ready for some serious Field Trips. Here is the agenda so far.

Tomorrow we are going to see Beyond the Mask. As a Mom, I am always thrilled to find a new Christian movie that T will enjoy. This movie combines faith, adventure, and history. All among T’s favorite things. So tomorrow morning, we head to town to see this together and share some theater popcorn. So excited.

We also have a trip planned to go to Bay’s Mountain. We will be taking the guided barge ride and visiting all of the animal habitats. This is one of our favorite places and it is so close to home. They have a museum and a planetarium also. It’s a wonderful way to spend the day learning.

Also, Earth Day is this month and this year, we are going to Gatlinburg to learn all we can. There are activities going on all week but we will be going on Thursday, April 23rd for the Earth Day Festival. This festival doesn’t get started until three so we will be spending the morning and afternoon at Cade’s Cove. Then off to Big Daddy’s Brick Oven Pizza, T’s very place to eat in Gatlinburg.

We are also considering a trip to the Bristol Caverns and a few trips to Warriors Path State Park. We are excited. We love to be outside. Let’s hope all of these April Showers don’t send us running for cover. We will post follow ups as we go.
Any suggestions for places we should be visiting? Share with us. We love to hear from you.
