Quote of the Week from Charles Dickens

Quote of the Week from Charles Dickens

Charles Dickens Quote to Focus on This Week

“Have a heart that never hardens, and a temper that never tires, and a touch that never hurts.”

I love this Charles Dickens quote. It simplifies many things. Don’t hold a grudge. Be hopeful. Be loving and soft-hearted. Be forgiving. Don’t quit. Be calm. Be gentle. And so much more. I can’t wait to hear T’s thoughts on this one.

Every week we choose one quote to focus on. I chose this particular Dickens quote because we have been focusing on personal character these last few weeks. This quote is so fitting. We will also be watching this video.

And answering the question, ” I want to be…?”

I also love the following Charles Dickens quotes and choosing just one won’t do.

Therefore…

“No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another.”     ~ Charles Dickens

“I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year.”     ~ Charles Dickens

“For the rest of his life, Oliver Twist remembers a single word of blessing spoken to him by another child because this word stood out so strikingly from the consistent discouragement around him.”     ~ Charles Dickens, Oliver Twist

“A boy’s story is the best that is ever told.”       ~ Charles Dickens

All of these Charles Dickens quotes are great to start important discussions. We will talk about each one but the Dickens quote we will focus on all week long will be the featured one.
