Quote of the Week – Albert Einstein

Albert Einstein Quote of the Week

Famous Einstein Quote

“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing were a miracle. The other as though everything is a miracle.”

This Einstein quote is our quote of the week and it is all about perspective. Albert Einstein’s quote about miracles really gets you thinking. To discuss this quote we will begin by talking about how we are surrounded by blessings. Everything from the heart beating within our chest to the sun shining down on us is a blessing worth being grateful for. As a homeschool lesson, we will be making a list of our blessings!

We will also be talking about how a small change in perspective can change a situation entirely. We will be doing this lesson to learn about how other people may perceive us differently. This is especially appropriate as an end of year lesson.

End of Year Reflection Activity – Changing Perspectives (Middle & High School)

This activity is a great way for your students to reflect on their growth and see themselves from someone else’s perspective. Works great as an end of year

Finally, we will be doing the lesson below. This writing assignment asks the student to take a moment to reflect on an argument or at least a moment where they didn’t see eye to eye with their parents. It encourages them to see a situation from their perspective as well as the parents perspective. In the second part, it uses song lyrics to teach again about perspective.

WeAreTeachers: Perspective, People! Ideas on Teaching Literature

During our literature units, I’m always ranting about “perspective.” When I do, students assume I am referring to the point of view from which a piece of literature is written. First person, third person, limited, omniscient.

Hopefully, by the end of this lesson T will have learned about how his viewpoint shapes his world. He will be holding the many blessings, even those generally taken for granted, to heart. And he will have learned how to be a person capable of: “seeing with the eyes of another, listening with the ears of another, and feeling with the heart of another.” Alfred Adler

Finally, after he considers this Einstein quote, I hope he chooses to see everything as a miracle.

We are looking forward to the week ahead!  Hoping every one of you is blessed with finding miracles in every moment.
