Learning without books!
We had a terrifying incident last week when a Mustang side-swiped us coming home from the grocery store.. Feeling SO blessed that everyone walked away. That said, between getting the estimate, picking up the police report, and all that came with that sort of scare, we missed a lot of our fun stuff time and just managed the basics. It’s time to get back in the groove. Here are a few things we have on our agenda for this week outside of the basic book work.
1. This week we will be editing T’s Black and White photos from last week’s Photo Assignment. I will be showing him some of the basics in Pixlr. Here is a sneak peek of one of his shots!
And here are some of the effects I will be showing him.
2. This week I painted both my bedroom and my bathroom. This was a lot of work but well worth it. This week, as part of a life lesson I will show T how to paint by offering him a bookshelf to paint. Let’s hope the weather cooperates. This will definitely be an outside job!
3. National Chocolate Milkshake Day is coming up on Friday, September 12th so we will be experimenting with fun flavors and inviting over some family members to try a few. Here are a few recipes we love!
4. Also, for a Science Experiment, we will be using Pop Rocks as we continue to witness chemical reactions. I will post that when we do it.
So there we have it. I will keep you posted as we continue through the 5th grade.
Also, please let us know what you are up to with your little people? We love fun ideas. Share away!
