We’ve had a scary couple of months. Rather than dig into the horror of it all, I will just say that all is well that ends well. God is good. Miracles do happen. We are blessed. The main lesson we are taking with us as we attempt to leave these difficult memories behind is that family matters most. We want to make time to spend more of our lives with the ones we love the most. As we have discussed different ways we plan to initiate these changes, we have decided to start this new chapter with a big family dinner.

Mr. Wonderful’s family and my family together. In an effort to find the perfect Fall Dinner Party Menu, I have been all over the internet and I have narrowed the list down significantly. Here are the top contenders. Our little family will be trying these out before the big get together and I will follow up this post with the winners. For now, here are some great Fall Dish Recipes you may want to try too.

Classic Fall Dishes – Main Dish Recipes

Beef and Mushroom Pie

This Chunky Beef and Mushroom Pie from recipetineats.com had a fan base any of us online influencers would be proud of! People rave over it. And I think it has everything a really great Fall dish should. Rich, bold, earthy flavors, lots of gravy, and a golden crust.

Roasted Turkey Breast

I picked this Fall Harvest Turkey Breast recipe from Eating European because the addition of apples and cranberries and loads of fresh herbs reminds me of the best turkey dinner I ever was served.

Language Warning! Matty Matheson is T’s favorite chef but he has a mouth like a sailor or a chef. Whatever. But here is the thing, every recipe of his that T has served has been bliss! So his French Onion Soup Recipe has to be tried.

Roasted Mushroom Soup

I’m going to be straight-up, I don’t like the texture of mushrooms at all. But I do love the flavor and I cook with them all the time. T loves mushrooms and even grows his own. So this recipe for Creamy Roasted Mushroom Soup from Damn Delicious is all about our boy!

Classic Fall Dishes – Amazing Side Dish Recipes

Baked Apples With Sausage Stuffing

We love visiting the local Apple Orchards. I even wrote about it here, here, and here. So believe me when I say I am serious about my apple crisp. This recipe from The Chunky Chef is the perfect rendition of this classic fall dish.

This Bourbon Butter Pecan Cake with Maple Frosting combines so many of the best fall flavors! We make special trips to our local bakery for slices of this cake. Here is a version from The Flavor Blender you can make at home, and you should! You really, really should! Like, right now.
