Free Printable and New Year Party Ideas
It’s hard to believe that another year has passed so quickly! 2015 was very good to us and we are grateful! We are also so excited to see what 2016 has to offer!
Last year I was prepared to celebrate. At this moment in time, I already had the decorations and the recipe for the Cannoli Cupcakes out. There were appetizers getting ready to be put together. I had invited family members. This year, nothing…. The trouble is that T has been so sick and I haven’t been feeling well either. There is a lack of energy that is foreign to this home. This “please just let me sleep” illness has fully enveloped us since Christmas Day.
However, I refuse to start 2016 off on such a note. Instead, I am going to throw together a last-minute celebration we can all enjoy. If you find yourself in my situation, fear not, I have a plan. And, I like to share. So here we have it:
My Last Minute – Thrown Together – New Years Celebration – No One Will Forget
First things first…. Provide a setting….. So I am going to make a quick trip to the Dollar Store and here is my bare minimum list:
- 2016 Hats
- Sparkling Grape Juice
- Hershey Kisses
When setting a table for a party, I like to have a centerpiece with words on it. I love words. Some people go for a fancy bouquet which I can appreciate but for me I prefer something like this, thrown in a frame I already own. You can print yourself a free copy here!
Then, there must be food! So I am making super simple recipes like this chilli cheese dip Mr. Wonderful loves and I am ordering hot wings and pizza!
There must also be games! So, I will be using these free printable games I found on Pinterest. Check them out:
This game is a big hit in our house for New Year’s Eve. It’s a great way to get the party conversation started with questions like: best song of the year, best movie, most embarrassing moment, etc. Read more for the new year’s game printable. We created this printable game for you for free!
and/or maybe also these:
I like to give gifts at parties but this year I am going to go super simple and just provide a bag of Hershey Kisses with this adorable printout attached:
Do you all remember that NSYNC song “Kiss Me at Midnight”? As I was making this New Year ‘s Eve Printable, that song kept popping into my head. Who doesn’t want to be kissed at midnight as a new year with new possibilities begins? This New Year’s Eve Printable is perfect for that special midnight “kiss”!
I may even start this new tradition called a “Gratitude Jar!” See my inspiration below: here –> Pinterest
There should be a toast to the New Year but I have not prepared a thing so I found something….
May the new year bring you an abundance of amazing opportunities, beautiful moments, and joyful experiences. May your positive actions & attitude inspire others. May you be brave enough to take on and overcome rewarding challenges. May you find yourself in high spirits & excellent hea
And that’s going to have to do it! When the ball drops and the New Year is ushered in the most important thing is being surrounded by my family. Having Mr. Wonderful hold me and kiss me is really all I need. That and the sound of T’s laughter filling our living room, and filling our lives with the best reason to make 2016 the best year yet!
Happy New Year!
