What is the 2018 Homeschool Mom’s Conference All About?
Why You Should Be Counting Down To June 4th
The 2018 Homeschool Mom’s Conference is almost here! I can not wait to get started on working my way through the 150 tracks! Some of my favorite Homeschool Moms and loads of experts are putting in their two cents to help us make the most out of our homeschool journey!
T is starting Highschool in the Fall! Gasp! Stagger… Highschool! It flies by. I know I am not alone with the realization that this lifestyle we have chosen, that we have made the very center of our every day, will be over before we know it. I intend to seize every moment and provide him with the very best education possible. I won’t get a second chance. None of us will.
In the early years of homeschooling, I learned that I would need help. I had so many questions. I still do. I had so many insecurities. I still do. I had such big plans and needed help organizing them and making them part of our reality. I still do. I have needed and still need the help of others that understand, that have walked this less traveled path, that know all about the hard parts, the weight of the responsibility, the joy of victories, the details that form the life of a Homeschool Mom.
And that is why I am so excited to attend this conference! My tribe is there! Track after track. For the rest of my homeschool journey, the advice will be there. The inspiration. The encouragement. The guidance. It will be there for me. Easy access. Lifetime access. And it can be there for you too!
Homeschooling is the most important job I have ever had. This position of Homeschool Mom is the single greatest responsibility the Lord has placed upon me so far. It is also the most rewarding honor. I feel ridiculously blessed to be T’s Mom and teacher. To get to teach him and to learn alongside him has brought so much meaning and purpose to my life. More than I ever even came close to as I worked a nine to five.
As the person responsible for his education, I have made it my mission to be certain that he is taught so much more than the standard curriculum. I have been able to teach him life skills like how to cook an amazing meal and how to be responsible with your money. I have been able to teach him about character and ethics. I have worked into our school week a lot of volunteering and community service opportunities.
I want to make sure that he knows he has within him the immense power to change the dark parts of the world that need light. That he can and does change peoples lives for the better. I have made sure that we start every day with Bible Study and that he has had the chance to embrace his faith. And so much more. Because I sincerely believe our kids need to know these things before they are sent out into the world.
The Homeschool Mom’s Conference offers a lot of tracks that address these very things. How do choose a curriculum that addresses everything your child needs to thrive in life? How do you plan your homeschool day? How do even get started homeschooling? This and so much more is available to us right now!
One of the downfalls of attending these conferences live is that you often have to play a lot of picking and choosing as two courses will take place simultaneously. I think it’s a huge benefit that you have lifetime access to these tracks. Online!!! No more picking and choosing. It’s all yours and available at your convenience!
I couldn’t have done this alone. I found my tribe. I have asked a million questions. I have embraced the advice offered to me by many other homeschooling Mom’s and that has truly been the wind beneath my wings. They are the reason I have survived the super hard times. They are the reason that I have become an awesome homeschool Mom. Yes, I’ll toot my own horn. I worked hard to get here. But I didn’t get here alone and you don’t have to either.
This conference costs a small fraction of what most conferences cost and there is no travel or hotel stay. It’s such a great deal. Add in the swag bag and the vendor discounts and I seriously couldn’t afford to miss this!
If you are a Homeschool Mom and you haven’t signed up yet, now is your chance.
So. while this homeschooling thing is the hardest thing I have ever done, it is also without a doubt the most rewarding thing I ever have done. Both for T and for myself. I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
