Simple Tips and Tricks for Homeschooling An Only Child – Podcast Interview

How To Achieve Success and Contentment While Homeschooling An Only Child

A few weeks ago I had a chance to chat with Abby from 4 One More on her podcast Homeschool With Moxie. We talked about a lot of the challenges faced by parents homeschooling an only child including:

  • Acceptance that you don’t have to teach everything yourself.
  • How to get involved with small groups.
  • The importance of teaching to the heart of your child and finding ways for them to volunteer or become involved in their community in areas where they feel personally invested.
  • The importance of including life skills, mental health lesson, and character development in your curriculum.
  • And so much more…

I’ve been doing this for six years now and I have learned a lot since we first began this journey. Much of it was learned the hard way.

I embraced this opportunity to share with other moms experiencing the same types of concerns and obstacles as I once did because I received so much advice myself along the way. And I am forever grateful for it.

We are a tribe, us homeschool moms, and we can each play a part in lifting one another up. It has been my mission since I began this homeschool life to do my best to help other moms. That love for the heart of the mother prompted my mission and led to the creation of this blog and remains the heartbeat driving our content all these years later.

That’s one of the reasons I love Abby and her kindred mission. Homeschool With Moxie offers advice and encouragement on a lot of different topics that homeschooling families face such as concerns about whether your child may be falling behind, advice on homeschool schedules, chats about how to teach your child to read, and so much more.

You really should take some time for yourself and dig through this valuable content. So, yes I am encouraging you to visit Abby and have a listen to Homeschool with Moxie because I know you will discover genuine encouragement from moms just like you!

Here is a link to the episode I was a guest on! I hope it uplifts you.
