Getting Creative With Your Lemonade
Summer With A Fun Twist
I love Lemonade! Fresh squeezed and over ice is a great way to serve it but not the only way! With so many summer days ahead I thought it might be nice to add a twist to the standard recipe I love. You know, mix it up! And so, I began collecting recipes done a little bit differently!
Let’s begin with my go to recipe for straight up lemonade because it is amazing and really simple. Two of my favorite things!
Lemonade is a very refreshing drink, and this is the best one ever!
You know what else I love on summer days, blueberries! Yes, these healthy little spheres of sweetness are among my favorites. What can I say, I was born and raised in Maine. Mainer’s love their blueberries! Hence, Blueberry Lemonade sounds like bliss in a glass. This recipe is super popular!
With Memorial Day just around the corner and the mercury rising, people all over the country are pulling tarps off their grills and preparing the backyard for a summer barbecue. Sadly, I’m not one of them. Living in a high-rise apartment, has some advantages (like not having to shovel snow in the winter), but a ban of grills is perhaps the biggest downside.
I also am a big fan of Strawberry Lemonade. I have had it over ice and frozen too. Both are wonderful. This recipe from Deliciously Sprinkled is great! A little tip, freeze the berries you are using as garnish. It keeps your drink cold longer ?
This Fresh Strawberry Lemonade is a super easy, quick, and refreshing summer drink. As soon as the weather starts to get warm, I’m instantly craving a nice cold glass of this delicious strawberry lemonade. And the best part, this Fresh Strawberry Lemonade can be quickly turned into a refreshing summer cocktail.
Here is a recipe that was great! I did listen to reviewers and double the strawberries and you might want to also. I double strained as well. This is a good one for adding your favorite spirits too! Yup, this lemonade is seriously scrumptious!
Strawberries, lemonade and ice are blended into a refreshing slush. A simple (non-alcoholic) fruity treat, fantastic in any season!
Speaking of spirits! I am a big fan of Sangria! My sister introduced me to the fruity goodness of Sangria a few years ago and I have made it several ways. This recipe for Sangria from Fake Ginger produced one of my favorite pitchers. You need to try it!
Quick reminder: The blog will be down from Sunday night to Tuesday morning. If you need any recipes during that time, get them now! And now we talk wine. Because it’s Friday! And I’m currently roadtripping with all 3 kids and a cockapoo.
Peaches, Watermelon, and even Kiwi have been added to different versions. Go ahead and play around! After all, when life gives you lemons….
Thank you for stopping by my little blog today! I hope you get a chance to share a glass with friends and family more than once as these hot summer days and lazy summer nights arrive to be celebrated. Enjoy!
