Our Top Five Favorite Instant Pot Recipes
The Best of The Best – Instant Pot Recipes Your Family Will Love
So, I have been crazy about my Instant Pot ever since it first emerged from its packaging. I love it so much and use it so often that it wasn’t easy narrowing our favorite recipes down to just our top five instant pot recipes. You see, we have prepared everything from lobster tails to cheesecake in there. We’ve had Italian, Chinese, Japanese, and just about every other culture represented through dishes prepared in our instant pot. I long ago lost count of how many Instant Pot Recipes have been tried in our kitchen.
Preparing dishes with the instant pot saves so much time and with the right recipes, it delivers flavors that taste like you have worked all day tenderly preparing the dishes. Truly wonderful food!
To create this post we had a lot of discussions and taste tests before our family finally reached an agreement that these five recipes are the winners and should be part of your regular menu planning too.

Number Five Favorite Instant Pot Recipe
Instant Pot Chicken and Dumplings from Amy and Jacky
First, let me say, this is not the only recipe we tried for Instant Pot Chicken and Dumplings but we all agreed that this version made the very best chicken and dumplings we had ever had. We thought the potato addition was weird until we tried it. It just gives some great texture to the dish and doesn’t leave the starchy taste we had feared. These are the ultimate comfort food!
Number Four Favorite Instant Pot Recipe
Instant Pot Mongolian Beef from The Blond Cook
This Mongolian Beef is flavorful and so tender you would think it had slow cooked forever and a day. I followed this recipe exactly with the exception that I may have been a little heavy handed with the ginger. We all love ginger!
Number Three Favorite Instant Pot Recipe
Instant Pot Chicken Risotto from Happy Foods Tube
This is SO good and we argued about whether it should overtake the number two recipe because it is just so good! We followed the recipe with the exception that we only use half the mushrooms. The first time we made it we felt like there were just a few too many mushrooms but that is personal preference. I should also tell you that after I served this dish to my sister, she bought her own Instant Pot. Coincidence? We don’t think so!
Number Two Favorite Instant Pot Recipe
Oh My Goodness! Yum! Seriously?!?! These were the exclamations rising from our kitchen table the first time we served this and it is requested all the time now! And yes, we used the fish sauce!
Number One Favorite Instant Pot Recipe
Instant Pot General Tso’s Chicken From The Recipe Critic
To convert this recipe for the Instant Pot, just brown the meat on saute in your Instant Pot instead of a separate skillet and then instead of cooking in the slow cooker, cook in Instant Pot using Pressure setting for ten to twelve minutes. Absolutely awesome! We eat this all the time!
And I don’t have a picture even though I have made this one more than all the rest and that is a testimony to how good it is. I have no time for pictures when I am about to dig in. You have to try this recipe. Seriously, outstanding!
