My Journal – Create Your Personal Record of the 2020 Coronavirus Pandemic
Includes Cover Page – 15 Targeted Writing Prompts & 4 Pages of Art Space
I put together this journal with writing prompts to help our kids create a personal record of their experience with the 2020 Coronavirus Pandemic. I believe it is important to keep records of historical events and our kids have a unique perspective. Even more, I have always been a person who keeps a journal, especially through the hardest parts of life. Keeping a journal is a good and healthy way to have a place to spill your thoughts, feelings, and opinions, honestly without having to worry about how they will be received or how they may affect others.
I have created this journal as a means for our students (and adults as well) to let it all out and create a personal record of their experience. These could become treasured family heirlooms one day, who knows? What we do know is that we should be providing our kids with every available outlet to express themselves safely as they navigate through these trying times.
I would encourage students to also gather some items that can serve as reminders for these times. Even screen captures of headlines can be printed out. Notices or mail that you receive about the situation. Email printouts of notifications from businesses. Snaps of text messages from friends and family members.
I am offering this at no charge. If you do not want to print the entire 20-page journal, there is an option to just print the single page list of writing prompts. Whatever works best for your family.
Wishing everyone the very best! Stay safe and take care of one another.
