I have been having SO much fun with this challenge. I’ve had a lot of success and some ridiculous failures on the adventure!
Let’s get to it! This month with summer in the air and all of these lovely nights spent grilling outside and throwing the frisbee around, I have been making a lot of fresh-squeezed lemonade. This recipe for Strawberry Lemonade is our new favorite version.
Ingredients For Strawberry Lemonade
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups fresh strawberries
- 1 1/2 cups fresh lemon juice
- 6 cups cold water
- lemon slice, for garnish
How To Make Strawberry Lemonade
First, put one cup of water into a pot and set it to boil.
Once it reaches a boil add one cup of sugar to it and stir until it has dissolved.
Put lemons in the microwave for about twenty seconds and then roll them under your hand to soften. Proceed with juicing until you have about one and a half cups. I like mine super tart to I use all of it but if you want a sweeter lemonade you can use just a cup.
Remove stems from strawberries and cut in half. Put in blender with 1/2 cup of lemon juice and blend thoroughly.
Add strawberry juice and lemon juice to sugar water and stir.
Using a fine strainer, pour mixture through into pitcher to remove the strawberry seeds.
Add six cups of cold water and stir well.
Serve over ice with a lemon slice for garnish.
