Homeschooler’s Love Snow Day’s Too!
Yes, even homeschooler’s take Snow Day’s! I am sure some homeschooler’s don’t take them and that’ cool too but as for us, any reason to sled the whole day long is welcome! That’s exactly what we did today!
We woke up to a gentle snow and it didn’t look capable of much. By 9:30 things were changing rapidly. In no time at all the roads were covered and by lunch time the snowflakes were big and chunky! This thick, wet snow is the best kind. Before long, the hill was covered.
We bundled up. A lot! And then we were off.
The snow kept falling the entire day. It was beautiful! This snow made sledding extra fun. It packed so well that we practically flew down every go.
We sled until climbing the hill even one more time seemed an impossibility. Then, we had an epic snow ball fight! T’s aim has drastically improved from last year.
After about an hour of that, we decided to play nice and we made a snowman together. I haven’t built a snowman with T in several years. It was so much fun!
By then we were almost frozen through. It was also getting dark and the snow was falling even thicker. We went inside and opened this…
We are experts of a sort, having tried just about every kind of cocoa out there and this is our favorite! Creamy, chocolate goodness in a mug.
We each took a mug of this and then grabbed an electric blanket and hit the couch to thaw. It’s so cold but what a day. Good thing we have plenty of this…
This was our first snow day of the season and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Here’s hoping everyone else had a great day too!
