Our Week In Pictures 2/7/2016
What have we been up to? We have had a great week! We finally moved our home school into it’s own room! In the process, there was a major cleaning out of the entire upstairs including the eaves which have served as a catch all for almost six years now. We donated three truckloads of clothing, toys, games, bedding and comforter sets to charity. It feels so good to have such an organized space, free of distractions to work in. We don’t miss the kitchen table at all. Or the daily clean up which was required at the end of every school day to return it to our dining room. I haven’t taken many pictures yet but I will post about our new space once I get a moment. Here is one of T at my desk! He loaned me his Bunjo Chair until I get another one. You can see we were not done yet!
And here he is at his desk. We now have posters and pencil holders etc but I warned you, better pics of the completed space are yet to come!
But I am getting ahead of myself here. We started last week playing Disc Golf at Winged Deer Park with my niece who is like a daughter to me. We had so much fun. The weather was funky! We had been buried in snow the weekend before and while the temperatures were in the sixties the ice and snow remained in very shaded spots. It made for a great day though and left us all aching for Spring. As I write we are awaiting yet another snowstorm so it appears that was a short-lived reprieve. No worries, we will take what we can get.
T and I like to use games to learn with and there are a ton of wonderful options out there. This week we ended every day with a game. We believe in the work hard, play hard way of life. Here we are playing Clumsy Thief. Clearly T is wishing for a thief card here. This is a fun one and even though it is just addition it’s fast paced and so much fun! We can’t give it up!
Here are a few of the others we played this week!
We also built this super cool crank motor using these K’Nex and T loved it! We can’t wait to build our next project! These are so much fun and a great way to incorporate STEM projects into your curriculum.
This is just a bit of our week but we have a movie night about to start so I need to close and go make popcorn. I hope everyone had a wonderful week as well! Be blessed!
