We have had an amazing week! It all started out when we went to go and rescue a cat for Mimi. We found this lovely little girl, Ms. Molly! She is a doll! When it came time to pay, we found out someone had just called in and asked to pay for the next adoption! The shelter was full but it was wonderful to see so many people coming out to rescue these sweet fur babies! We got there just a few minutes after it opened and the parking lot was already overflowing. It also snowed a little! T and I have been anxious for some snow. This didn’t last but it definitely got us excited for the season. T would say the best part of the day was getting a pizza at Pizza plus!
We also had another doctors appointment! This crud that T has had didn’t want to let up. Good news, though, the day after this visit the cough finally left. We had fun in the waiting room playing with our phones.
On Wednesday, we made Peach Melba and it was awesome! Learn about this dessert and get the recipe here.
We also had an epic UNO battle! It was so close the whole way through but in the end, T won.
Our field trip this week was to the Reece Museum at ETSU and it was awesome!
This was what I considered to be the most moving of all. When I saw it, my breath caught. “What has happened here?”
The campus was beautiful! Both exhibits were impressive and the weather was ridiculously lovely for early January.
We spent the entire week focused on this quote by Minor Myers!
Inspired we have been focusing on ways to live well and do good. Check out the post I wrote about it here. We have been trying to focus on gratitude and appreciation and to develop our love of learning. We will continue this study through next week.
This week has been overflowing with blessings. I am so grateful for the opportunity to homeschool! The time together is priceless. The longer I teach the more I learn and the more I appreciate how blessed I am.
I’m already looking forward to next week 🙂
