We Went To Free Comic Book Day

The Johnson City Public Library Offers Fun and Learning

It’s hard to find a young man or lady who isn’t interested in comic books. For that matter, it’s hard to find an adult who doesn’t still love comic books. When we heard about Free Comic Book Day at the Johnson City Public Library, the event immediately went to the calendar and reminders were set on my iPhone. T loves comic books and so do I! This morning we were up early, anxious to be the first through the door so we could select a truly awesome comic book for free! Yes, even adult kids like me were allowed one! We hit the jackpot!

Superheroes were there for photos! We met Batgirl, Robin, and Spiderman!

There were crafts and games to play!  T loved the bean bag toss!

If you missed the event, no worries. Johnson City Public Library has a great collection you can check out!

I love that they have a Teens Only Corner complete with cozy window seats and a neon sign!

Johnson City Public Library offers a lot of great Teen-Friendly programs worth looking into!  If you are interested in getting your teen involved with the community this summer, they offer a Program called Volunteens! You can learn more here.

If you are wondering what books your teen may really devour, check out the R.E.A.D.S.for Teens list here.

They also offer a Computer Lab, Book Discussion Groups, and several Educational Programs. The Johnson City Public Library is consistently offering great events. Keep up with what’s happening and don’t miss out!
