William’s Farm Fall Festival in Wytheville
Look no further than William’s Farm for Family Friendly Fall Fun!
Last weekend we loaded up two SUV’s full of family members and close friends and headed to Wytheville, Va to visit William’s Farm. We were looking to make some great memories while enjoying all of the best parts of Autumn.
William’s Farm delivered. They offer a corn maze shaped like a bat, hay rides, an apple launcher, a pumpkin chunker, fun games, a pumpkin patch where you can pick your pumpkin straight from the vine and a store loaded with freshly picked apples in a wide variety of delicious flavors.
Once we arrived we purchased tickets and were loaded onto a hayride. The weather was perfect and we rode through the apple orchard surrounded by beautiful mountain views. The wind was frisky as it should be on a perfect Fall day. We arrived at the Pumpkin Chunker and Apple Launchers. Your ticket to the corn maze gets you a chance to launch an apple. If you hit the ghost target you get a shot with the Pumpkin Chunker! The kids had a lot of fun with this! And then we entered the Corn Maze!
The corn was high and the sky was that certain shade of bright blue reserved for Fall. Throughout the maze, there are a series of ten questions to answer, each with three different possible answers. Choose the correct answer and you will find the next questions. Choose the wrong answer and you will wander.
It was really fun and we had a great time! Once we left the corn maze we were excited to find some fun games to play. Like checkers with a twist!
And bowling which Sophia thought was extremely fun!
And even a ring toss!
As the day wound down we discovered several areas set up that created the perfect backdrops from some great Fall shots! Like this one of Sophia which I love!
We then went down to enjoy some concessions and to purchase some apples! I choose a giant basket full of a variety of apples because I couldn’t choose between so many options. It was an awesome day and we recommend you take your family to William’s Farm soon. Fall will be over before we know it! You don’t miss out on days like this! We will treasure ours.
As soon as I got home I knew I needed to start eating some apples so I fixed this oh so amazing Apple Brown Betty using this recipe from my hero, The Pioneer Women. I followed the recipe except I used cinnamon raisin bread and I added cinnamon and nutmeg to the apples. It was absolute bliss and my house smelled amazing! Try it yourself! Yum!
