WOWW Walk Review – Bird Discovery Walk
Warrior’s Path State Park Offers Awesome Programs for Kids
We went to another WOWW Walk at Warrior’s State Park in Kingsport. This was a Bird Discovery Walk and it was wonderful! We had so much fun learning all about being a great birdwatcher.
We were lucky to be led on our Bird Discovery Walk by Larry McDaniel from Steele Creek Park. He was our guest speaker and an awesome bird guy! We thought it was great how he could make so many different bird calls.
He started out with the basics teaching us how to adjust our binoculars and showing us bird guides. After that, we went over to the campground to seek our feathered friends. We were off to a great start when we discovered a Great Blue Heron! It made our day!
